Clean text without losing meaning
Start with diagnosis rather than deleting everything. Invisible characters control wrapping, direction and joining. The right result depends on the destination.
Three checks
1. Keep the original and paste a small failing sample. 2. Reveal characters, inspect their codes and select the types to preserve. 3. Clean a copy, compare the result and repeat the task in the destination application.
Choose by task
An accidental U+200B in SKU-42 usually needs deletion without a space. NBSP in 10 kg may be preserved for layout or replaced for data exchange. Delete SHY within a word without splitting it. Preserve necessary ZWJ/ZWNJ in emoji and writing systems.
Limits
The tool reveals supported characters; it does not repair OCR, encoding or look-alike letters. It does not validate JSON, certify code safety or identify AI authorship. Zero findings is not proof of valid text.
Where your text goes
Cleaning runs in the browser, using a Web Worker for large samples. Input and settings are saved in localStorage for recovery. Social sharing may transmit text to the selected service. Clear site data after using a shared device; read the privacy policy for details.
